Kylie + Jay: Citrus Wedding at Dana Power's Barn in Pismo
A Victorian House Set Upon a Citrus Farm, With Jewel Toned Goblets and Hand Drawn Lace Gowns
Kylie and Jay’s wedding day in early November was full of bright smiles and pops of color. Nestled between the foothills of SLO and the oceans of Pismo beach, a citrus farm venue was the perfect location for this sweet couple who wanted to come together in marriage somewhere equidistant to two important locations in their lives and relationship. This stunning venue with its beautiful greenery and vintage details exquisitely fit the bill. As the bride was lovingly zipped into a breathtaking Rue de seine fox gown from the dress theory in San Diego, it was impressive to realize that even the dreamy lace and off the shoulders beauty of the dress paled in comparison to the love and joy shining in Kylie's face and that of her dearest friends, draped in lovely shades of blue.
A victorian house was the gorgeous backdrop for the first look where this sweet couple spent their last few moments together before becoming husband and wife. Kylie’s bright peony bouquet added the perfect splash of color to the greens and greys, but Jay probably never even saw it, fixated as he was on his beautiful bride!
The outdoor ceremony was framed by natural greenery in every direction as pops of bright flowers accented the archway under which the exchanged their vows. Sweet details abounded in the reception from jewel toned mismatched goblets and water color seating charts to personally embroidered mother and father of the bride and groom heirloom napkins and antique mirrors reflecting it all.
This family and pet friendly wedding was bursting with love and fun, from the sweet and silly speeches full of personal anecdotes, to the non stop dancing that continued long after the reception had ended. Kylie and Jay had a wedding day every bit as lively, beautiful, and romantic as their photos suggest. May their memories of that special day remain as sweet and bright as the smile on Jay’s face as he watched his wife-to-be walk down the aisle.
