I am a photographer with a rich photography experience and background. Having been formally trained in art and various different photography roles, my blend of knowledge, talents, and skills allow me to create custom tailored and one-of-a-kind client experiences with dynamic galleries that feel different from standard photography coverage.

Hello & Welcome
I am Vanessa. I love getting to know people while I am behind the camera and capturing the intimate details that makes that make you YOU, but because some of the best moments come when you can truly be yourself, it is only fair for you to know a little about me!
I currently call Southern California home but I tend to wander often. I’ve been told I live a little like Stephen Zweig, with a bag always packed for the next great adventure (although unpacking is my least favorite activity). For someone who loves new experiences as much as I do I consider myself lucky to have taken on all kinds of adventures in my life: from traveling to more than 40 countries to date to attending a record number of universities! I attended eight (yep, that’s right) universities before graduating from Occidental College with a degree in visual arts and art history. My collegiate path have been a little unconventional but those experiences have helped shape the way I see the world and maybe more importantly (or at least more relevantly) the way I photograph it.
I am an artist and a nostalgic. It’s that combination that first made me fall in love with photography. I love how others express themselves creatively through their love stories, weddings, or special events, and turning those precious moments into a lasting memory is the one adventure I like to go on time and time again.

I got married November 22, 2022 to the love of my life, Mark Gibson. He is an award winning Magic Castle Magician and Mentalist and I absolutely love our creative life we get to live together!
Shirley Temples are my favorite mocktail, and espresso martinis are my favorite cocktail!
Macaroni and cheese will forever be my favorite food.
In my free time I enjoy sewing dresses for myself!
I always have a current National Parks Pass in my wallet.
I will try anything twice - just to ensure the first time wasn’t a fluke
I love fun facts! Ask me my favorite fun fact about pirates, I dare you.
An activity I love when I have hours to spare is puzzles with a guilty pleasure TV show in the background. I am a firm believer than any serious puzzler won’t do a puzzle under 1,000 pieces.
Unless there is chocolate lave cake on the menu, I will always choose the savory option because I am addicted to salt.
I am an optimist, enneagram 8w9, vegetarian, and lover of bold fashion choices.
