Cassidy + Nate: Sunset Wedding Photos at Yosemite National Park

A Rhinestone Gown That Sparkles Like None Other In A Place More Beautiful Than Any Other

I was recently connected with Cassidy and Nate through a mutual friend and I couldn’t be happier about it! These high school sweethearts were married last March and now have the cutest six month old little buddy! Their story, from first meeting to parenthood, is one of deep love, joyful pursuit, and faithful commitment. Although they had a magical wedding day, late winter rains turned their outdoor celebration (and subsequent photos) just a little bit damper than they had hoped! They were looking for a chance to capture their love afresh- minus the rain this time!

It was such a joy to immortalize some new memories for this sweet couple as I guided them (literally) to and through Yosemite to one of the best sunset lookout spots on Yosemite National Forest’s map! Yosemite’s landscape is picturesque with a serene beauty that provided the perfect backdrop for some new wedding vibe shots.

Unfortunately, there have been numerous fires in the Central Valley, closing freeway routes through the 140 and creating a heavy layer of smoke throughout the park. While we may not have been able to see the usually visible monuments like El Captain and the Yosemite Valley floor and rivers, the smokey haze did create one of the most spectacular sunsets I have ever seen.

Diffusing the sunlight and illuminating Cassidy and Nate in all of my favorite sunset colors, the whole evening felt like one gorgeous ombre. The fading sun started by clothing them in a warm yellow glow, giving way to soft pinks and purples, and eventually darkening to a pale blue that disappeared into the night sky with a nearly full moon. The farther you scroll the more you’ll get to see the stunning result!

Adorned in Lunella, a Willowby by Watters gown, Cassidy sparkled and shone from sunset until the last light. This dreamy, glittery gown reflected the natural beauty all around while keeping the focus where it belongs- on the bride!

Holding hands and stealing kisses, Cassidy and Nate explored Yosemite and made some new memories to cherish for years to come. From lookout points to majestic rocky terrain, they turned every location into a dreamy fairytale. As always, and I feel as if I will never tire of ending blog posts this way, Cassidy and Nate - I love you both and wish you all the best in your marriage together!!
