Sarin + Tavit: Vogue Styled Point Dume Engagement with a Vintage Red Convertible Car
This one is dedicated to those who are inspired by the style of Vogue aesthetic engagement photos that are both fun, flirty, classic, and timeless with a touch of Old Hollywood glamour, but also to those who (like myself) cannot resist the Malibu coast line at sunset and a fabulous accessory. It turns out the best accessory you can have to your engagement photos is a red convertible vintage car.
Sarin and Tavit were inspired by an urban San Francisco elopement where the couple was shot on 120 film driving through the streets on the way to get married at city hall. Tavit had worked in an auto body shop previously and so the incorporation of including the vintage car element was important to them both! Having a convertible car as a prop in their engagement photos also added a touch of glamour and personality. Even though they fell in love with the idea of an urban civil ceremony style getaway car shoot, they wanted it to be their own and unique to them. One of the best ways to do that was to highlight where they are: Southern California.
Southern California is home to so many gorgeous settings, from mountain ranges, to beaches, deserts, urban jungles, and perfectly manicured gardens of historical homes and landmarks like Greystone Mansion, there is a little bit of everything. One of the most characteristic settings of southern california are the beaches at sunset. The west coast sunsets are particularly special watching the sun set over the horizon of the ocean. Another reason to capture Sarin and Tavit’s engagement photos at an iconic SoCal location is that Sarin and Tavit are currently long distance, and after their wedding she will join him on the east coast and they will finally be back togetther again! Capturing California and the time they got to spend in a relationship here is an important part of their story.
This classic, jaw-dropping engagement shoot was one for the books. Sarin and Tavit brought unbelievable style and outfit choices that really complimented the environment and the theme. Their red vintage convertible car brought a fun pop of color, added to their personal relationship narrative, and generally increased the vibes x10.
Sarin and Tavit will be getting married in January 2023 at The Majestic in Downtown Los Angeles, California. This southern California wedding venue is an opulent and luxurious wedding space that has marble column, bank vaults, and beaded hanging chandeliers. It was built in 1924 and is considered a historical masterpiece. Knowing how stylish Sarin is and the artistic vision both her and Tavit have, I know their wedding day there will be nothing short of exceptionally beautiful with even more Vogue worthy details to come.
