Priscila + Zack: Luxury Hollywood Hotel Engagement Photos for the Anti- Bride at the Thompson Hotel
I recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing an engagement session for Priscila andd Zack at the luxurious Thompson Hotel in Hollywood, California. The Thompson Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of Hollywood, California. It features stunning, contemporary design that showcases the glamour and sophistication of Hollywood. Every time I step in their lobby I take mental notes for how I would love to decorate my own home! The inspiration for the shoot was an anti-bride style with a nod to classic Hollywood glamour. The result was a stunning and unique set of images that perfectly captured the couple's style and love.
Anti-bride style is a term used to describe a wedding or engagement shoot that goes against the traditional norms and expectations of a typical wedding. It can often involve unconventional elements and a more casual or non-traditional approach to the celebration. Overall, anti-bride style is about breaking away from the traditional expectations and creating a celebration that truly reflects the couple's individuality and style. Priscila and Zack absolutely broke the norm of engagement photos by choosing to take theirs in a luxury hotel suite with a perfectly balanced blend between candid moments, editorial polished poses, and paparazzi style flash images!
The shoot took place in the couple's suite, complete with a curtain lined hallway, large velvet sofa, and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors leading out to the private balcony. Our bride, Priscila, wore two different little white dresses, adding to the modern and chic vibe of the shoot. The first was a white mini dresses with white roses, and the second was a white satin bias slip dress. Both gowns were accessorized with Steven Madden heels, Bridal sunglasses, sheer tulle opera bridal gloves, and a rhinestone headband. The groom also looked dashing in two different colored suits that complemented the bride's outfits.
Most of the photos were taken using flash, which created a dramatic effect giving us the “paparazzi style” vibes. We utilized various spots in the hotel room, including the balcony, suites lounge, bed, elevators, and hallways, to capture different angles and perspectives that showcased Priscila and Zack in the Thompson Hotel.
Since we leaned into the flash style of photos for their engagement shoot, I got to utilize my 35mm camera to capture a great deal of photos throughout their shoot! I will showcase them first int he gallery for your to view! Thee setting was so perfect for the film medium and each frame came out so perfectly!
This engagement photo session was so much fun to photograph for Priscila and Zack! The Thompson Hotel in Hollywood made for the perfect backdrop to an unforgettable experience!
